More Books

The other book I picked up with The Eye of Osiris is The Penguin History of Medieval Europe, by Maurice Keen, first pub. 1959. It looked like a fairly readable introduction to something I don't know a lot about, and besides, it was only 60p and I'm a sucker for second-hand books. I'd really like to know how it's seen by people in that field these days, though, and what the more up-to-date equivalent would be.

Does it make me a bad person that I keep reading MOM as 'Ministry of Magic', not 'Message-Oriented Middleware'? It certainly makes reading technical articles more difficult!
