Unsurprisingly, I didn't see many birds while I was off sick, as I was mostly restricted to those that happened to fly past a window while I was on the other side of it. The only exceptions were when I was given a lift to Tescos to get necessary supplies* and I got to see a few extra starlings and a couple of crows. There were a couple of sparrows and some starlings about in next door's garden, and a blackbird and a magpie made it into my field of vision through my front window. That's about it, apart from the blue tit and coal tit who perched for a few seconds in the rowan tree at the back yesterday, possibly to see whether the racket I was making with the shed roof was going to result in more bird feeders (it is, eventually).
*Bread, soup, Ginger Nuts (for those who don't know, a sort of thick, hard, very gingery biscuit), that sort of thing. And while we're on the subject of Ginger Nuts, I would like to state that they're not nearly as rock-hard as they used to be. I could crunch right into them, even with a headache. I remember the days when you had to dunk one in tea and nibble cautiously unless you were feeling robustly healthy...
I was feeling none too bright this morning, either, so not a fabulous list.
