I don't intend to let her out at night, even when the cats are more used to the outdoors. She'll definitely be indoors for a bit, and when she goes out next I'll be a bit more alert.
I have a suspicion that she was probably cowering under a bush nearby all along, rather than enjoying a night out on the town, which might mean that she'll come in more promptly in future.
