Sunny, but very strong wind.
With any luck, the boiler should be fixed this afternoon. This will be a very good thing, as although yesterday was warm enough that the house was kept sufficiently heated by my making a large batch of Jamie Oliver's ragu, I am definitely looking forward to having warm water for washing.
This morning I went into work early so I could find the shower that is apparently in our other building. I eventually found it, despite an evident attempt to disguise it as a cleaner's cupboard - I had to move mops out of the way to get to it, and it didn't work that well when I got there. At least it was warm, though, so I am not yet reduced to trying to have baths in front of the fire. I am left feeling very grateful that I can afford central heating and hot water.
I've ordered some seeds from Real Seeds, who are a family organization selling non-hybrid unusual varieties of organic vegetable seeds for the ordinary gardener. My success rate with seeds hasn't been great in the past, but I'm going to give these a try. If all else fails, I can buy plants later in the season.
