(no subject)

I have (at last) moved house!

I am now (a)sick of the sight of boxes, and (b)exhausted. I'll be commenting here and there but I have no brain available for posts just at the moment.

But hooray, you're in!

Congrats - and you've been missed. Well, I missed you.

Thankyou! I've been posting so infrequently this summer I wasn't sure whether anyone would notice!

Yes, I have a house and I'm living in it - it's still all feeling a bit unreal, to be honest, but I'm sure I'll feel settled soon.

Hurrah! How are you and the cats finding it?

You've been missed, btw. Hope this summer's been a good one for you.

I'm settling in slowly - I like the house a lot, but there are still too many boxes in it and I haven't had enough time to recover from moving yet. I had the day before moving off work (packing until midnight) then the day of the move (reasonably stressful), then I haven't had a day off work since. At least, I have had two weekends, for which I am not ungrateful, but they've been fairly full of unpacking and buying stuff and relatives descending.

The cats seem to alternate between being extremely curious and being deeply unimpressed (which they seem to express by weeing in their beds - at least it's their bed not mine). They're allowed to explore almost the whole house now (some of it only when supervised) and they're particularly enjoying a big furry rug which is now on a shiny floor: you can attack it from all sorts of angles, then when it's thoroughly rucked up, you can sleep on it.
